After 24 long hours, we have arrived in Beijing. I think I can safely say that the 13 hours on the plane dragged by for all of us. Long flights are simply grueling! We flew Continental and enjoyed the video screens on the back of each seat. Matthew and Dad were content playing video games for several hours. The picture above is the inflight map showing our long awaited approach to China. After clearing customs with no problems and receiving all of our baggage (Praise God!) we headed for the hotel. Matthew received the seat on the 12 passenger bus right next to the driver and was happy he had a seatbelt on when he slammed on the brakes when a toll arm didn't come up as expected. The adventure has begun! We decided to forgo dinner (it seemed like they fed us the entire flight) and hit the hay. It is now, 3 am here and we are all awake, eating cheerios. Boy they taste good! Looking forward to our 10 hour tour today to the Unending city, I mean Forbidden City and Great Wall.
Prayers needed: Our computer is acting up, please pray it holds out until our return so we can communicate with the kids and all of you. Thank you!
Praying for safe travels for you all!! What an awesome experience for Matt and Grace. They will never forget the travels to bring their brother home. You are such an inspiring family to know. What a lucky little boy Joshua will be to be a part of your family - and I know you will feel just as lucky to have found him.
